Squeaky Clean Beau-tay.

(That was a nod to “Gretchen Christine Beau-tay”, for all you Bravo RHOC watchers :)

Since I am and always have been challenged in the beauty product department, I still find the  buying (and discovering!) process pretty exciting. It takes me forever to get through a tube of something, so when it comes time to replenish-—I get so pumped because no one just purchases the one product once you’re in the shop (online or legit). You gotta throw in someeeething else to try, right? And gents, before you hit the snooze button, most all of the below can apply to you. It’s mostly just a few rad skin products. If nothing else, some good stocking stuff for the special lady in your life (mother or arm candy). I don’t subscribe to a needy regimen, so most all things I’m into are easy, breezy and don’t take a ton of commitment.

The Eggwhite Facial Soap “Eiwit Zeep”

Ahh this soap. This puts the squeak in clean. If you are one of those that doesn’t like a tight feel after cleansing, go ahead and skip this. I love it though. I could deem this the five minute (five dollah) facelift. And yes, after googling this (as I was concerned because the price was so low that it was made from heavens to Betsy knows what and tested on the same)….I see that I am not the first to love this. Looks like it was a hit years ago…but I’m telling you now.  It looks to be quite naturale too. And just going forward know that I do not pride myself on “being the first to know” about anything. My excuse is that I like others to give products, technology (and gossip) a first go.  I’ll listen after careful review :)

Lastly, this soap is mega cheap coming in at $5-$8 with a mild, nice smell. It gives your face that squeeze it needs.

Dr. Gross Daily Peel Pads and Glow Pads

I consider it a mega bonus that I got to go to Arizona AND meet a fabulous friend to stay in touch with AND she just happens to be an expert on all things hip and hot in the beauty/age defying world. (This is for you AS! (—and THANK YOU!))

Despite the name (sorry Dr. Gross!), this SUPER speedy and easy 3 step exfoliation, toning and glow to-go just makes looking refreshed too easy. It’s 3 little wipes packaged individually. Only waiting 1-2 minutes in between each one. You can do it on your drive to your hot date– or easily as you are prepping for it! The first two wipes exfoliate and tighten, and the last one adds a gentle sunkissed glow. Priced pretty well for all. Steps 1 & 2 sold together; glow pads separately. (I found them all on Amazon, but linked to other sites here for variety.)

Florapy Deep Hydration Sheet Mask- Blackberry primrose

(Thanks to JHB on this!) My dear gal pal tucked one of these in a goodie bag for me a few months ago and I finally got to use it last week. It is so lovely. Again—males deserve a little pamper too. The smell is nice and gentle, the mask is cool to the touch, and here again— couldn’t be easier to apply and just sit and wait for the hydration and goodness to do its work. (Heads up, you look a little bit “Jason” from Friday the 13th while wearing said mask, but your kids will get over it. It’s worth it.)

The Plank

Before I get to cosmetics and successfully lose all you boy followers, I wanted to stress the ease and importance of the plank pose. We are all running around wildly busy in our days– thus, this is the best quick “workout”, if you can only squeeze in a little something. It doesn’t take a  gym or spandex to do. The plank pose tones all of the core muscles of the body (including abs, chest, and lower back). It strengthens the arms, wrists, and shoulders. It most importantly (to me) strengthens the muscles around the spine, which improves posture. I need that more than anyone– and anything, so I should be planking while I type. Duh. My trick is to get in position and count to “30” 5-6 times, and count really fast because it feels less boring and painful. So I feel like I get a minute or two out of it at least. The more you practice, the easier and longer you can go! Drop before you hop in the shower or brush your teeth.. work it into that routine. After beerz is kinda fun and challenging too.

Juice Beauty

Last but not least for today. Juice Beauty! Once again- this is a product line that I feeeeeel like is new, but apparently is not. It’s just new to me :) Gwyneth — as in Paltrow– is the Creative Director, so that right there saves me a lot of paraben and toxin research. She’s the (Goop.com) guru on all things “wholey” pure and healthy. I’ll be honest, many things that are completely pure (face oils, etc.) don’t seem to do the trick for me and anti-aging. I’m new to the Juice line, as I mentioned, so results for wrinkle zapping is TBD, though I BIG TIME HEART the makeup! I splurged and went tinted sunscreen, “face dust”, cheek stain, lip, brow….I just got excited– because most of you ladies will agree, sleek packaging on top of healthy is a major win. If you’re looking for a change, this stuff delivers on just the dewy, but natural look I dig. And who knows— maybe the night cream I just applied (it’s 1PM) is doing its thing while I note this. I’ll keep you posted.

Here’s to a healthy and happy holiday kick-off week to all of you! One of my favorite “pace-yourself” reminders to share this time of year:  The holidays are a marathon– not a sprint.

Enjoy it all.
